The Santa Monica Mountain Task Force is an activist committee of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club dedicated to encouraging the protection of the Santa Monica Mountains while promoting and understanding an awareness of their natural values.  The goals encompass maintaining open space and acquiring additional parkland.

Meetings: 2nd Monday monthly (except August), 7:30pm, alternating between the South and North side of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Outings: The Task Force has an active outings program to introduce people to recreational enjoyment of the mountains, and build a constituency of park users, who would support Sierra Club efforts to save open space, preserve sensitive watersheds and protect wildlife habitat.  See CALENDAR page for details.

Trails: The Task Force force invites members to join our trail crew, which builds and maintains trails on Saturdays from October to June.  See TRAILS page for details.
